

David Lee McReynolds, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the age of 64, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, curiosity, and quiet strength. Born on February 13, 1961, in Tennessee to the late David Lynn McReynolds and Johnny Lane McReynolds, David carried with him a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and a boundless intellectual curiosity.
David is survived by his loving wife, Shilpi Chaudhary McReynolds, and their cherished children, Avery McReynolds and Risha McReynolds, who were the light of his life. His family was his greatest joy, and his gentle presence and steady love will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, is preceded by his sister, Laura Savoy.
An avid cyclist, David found peace and clarity on long rides, often exploring the world on two wheels. He had an eye for beauty, capturing moments through his lens as an enthusiastic photographer. A self-taught guitar player, David found joy in music and often filled his home with quiet melodies.
Fascinated by the night sky, David had a deep interest in astronomy, always eager to learn and share what he discovered about the universe. He had a soft spot for animals, especially cats, and had a special bond with his feline companion, Cardo, who rarely left his side.
David’s unique humor, thoughtful nature, and deep love for those close to him touched everyone who knew him. His mother-in-law, Mukul Chaudhary’s sweet tribute of “world’s greatest son-in-law” testifies to his great love of family.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 17, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in David’s memory to a Autism Speaks or American Cancer Society.
He will be missed dearly and remembered always not only for his passions and talents but for his kindness, integrity, and unwavering love for his family.
