

Debbie was born in 1957 to George Francis DeNeve and Barbara DeNeve (Holiday) on the Air Force Base in Fuerstenfeldbruck, Germany. She attended Georgia State University and graduated from Piedmont School of Nursing. She worked for Piedmont Hospital for forty-three years as an OR nurse and medical coder before retiring from Axea Solutions in 2023.
Debbie was a devoted wife and mother of two boys, whom she cherished. She enjoyed baseball, especially watching the Braves and the World Series. She was a remarkable chef who expertly prepared lavish meals and baked goods for any occasion. In her spare time, she enjoyed cross-stitching, sewing and quilting. She was also a loving dog mom.
Debbie is preceded in death by her oldest son, Derek Thornberry. She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Donald Edward Thornberry; son, Jason (Elizabeth) Thornberry; brother, Stacey (Judy) DeNeve, and niece, Alaina (Josh) Parker.
Friends are cordially invited for a visitation on Friday, November 9, 2024 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at H.M. Patterson and Son Canton Hill Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 9, 2024 in the chapel of HM Patterson and Son Canton Hill.
