Donat Charron

Don served in the U.S. Army (Korean War) from 1948 to 1951 and retired from the New England Teamsters Truckers Union. Shortly after his retirement, Don and his late wife, Gloria, moved to Marietta, GA to live closer to their son.

Don will pass through the gates of heaven to join his beloved wife Gloria; parents Donat and Ovilina Charron; his son Raymond Donat Charron and brothers Regis Benoit, Roland Charron and Edward Charron.

Don will be remembered and missed by many he left behind including: Siblings Irene Volton, Anita Murphy, Janet Pypniowski, Florence Tooley, Norman Charron (all from Fall River, MA) and Donald Charron (Savannah, GA); Grandchildren Ray (Mae) Charron of Milford, CT) and Christi Lanphier (Acworth, GA); Special friends Janice Goodman (Duluth ,GA) and Joni (Woodstock, GA); Godchildren Paula Kfoury (Fall River, MA) and Karen Volton (Tiverton, RI); 27 nieces and nephews including great niece Cheryl Gagliardi (Fall River, MA) and great-granddaughter Anastyn Kate Lanphier (Acworth, GA) .

Don’s family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Hospice and special caregiver Loretta Lawson who gave him so much comfort the last few weeks of his life.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the chapel Georgia Memorial Park, 2000 Cobb Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA 30060 with Rev. Jim Kilpatrick officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Hospice (http://www.heritage-hospice.com/).
