Dorothy Hale Johnson, age 95, of Alpharetta, Georgia, passed away on January 1, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband, Bert James Johnson and her son, Dr. Bert Johnson, Jr. She was the daughter of Dorothy Harralson Hale and Joseph Crowder Hale.
Before moving to Alpharetta in 1992, she and her husband lived in College Park, Georgia, Longboat Key, Florida, and McDonough, Georgia. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church and of the Monday Morning Bible Study.
She is survived by two sons: Lt. Col (Ret.) John Hale Johnson and his wife Lynne, of Marietta, and Joseph David Johnson and his wife Dorothy, of Alpharetta. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Jennifer Johnson, Benjamin Johnson and his wife, Erin, and daughter Kaelyn, Bert Johnson, Abigail Woodard and her husband Kris and their daughters, Everett, and Tara Johnson. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Crowder Hale of College Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be sent to Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church or the charity of choice. As requested by family, an immediate family only service will be held at Oakland Cemetery.
