Mr. Earnest Gerald Beasley, 73 of Calhoun passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. Earnest was a retired US Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked at Atlantic Steel in Cartersville for 26 years as an inspector before retiring. Mr. Beasley loved Atlanta Braves Baseball, NASCAR and was of the Baptist faith. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Merium Beasley and son, Jerry Beasley. Survivors include: Son, Lee Beasley and his partner, Terry Hufstetler of Dallas, GA; two sisters, Sarah Armstrong of Gant, AL and Gail Godwin on Evergreen, AL; one brother, Robert Hooks of Evergreen, AL; six grandchildren; his beagle dog, Molly and cocker spaniel, Lady Bug. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 2:30 pm at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with military honors. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on the day of the service at the funeral home.
