Mr. Edwin F. Brooks, age 88, of Yatesville, formerly of Marietta, passed away September 23, 2010. Mr. Brooks was veteran of WWII serving in the US Army. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Jessie King Brooks, and his daughter, Frances Brooks.
He is survived by his sons, Roy M. Brooks, Richard K. (wife, Sue Ellen) Brooks, and Ray K. Brooks; grandsons, Von Nordholz and Lane Brooks; granddaughters, Cindy Brooks, Kelly Johnson, and Stacy Brooks; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September, 25, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. James E. “Bud” Sutton officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening 4 – 7 PM at the funeral home.
