Mrs. Elizabeth A. “Bette” Benson, 79 of Marietta died Monday, October 25, 2010. Mrs. Benson was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Ann in Marietta. She was devoted to raising her children, spending time with her grandchildren and making a happy home. She is survived by her husband, Robert Benson, Sr.; son, Robert Benson, Jr. of Roswell, GA; daughter, Ann Beck of Cherry Hill, NJ; sister, Anna Mae Swift of Harrisburg, PA; grandchildren, Michael Beck, Christie Bowman, Matthew Beck, Anna Benson and Ted Beck. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Ann in Marietta. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN or the Alzheimer’s Association.
