Elsie White Howard, 86, of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully on November 13, 2013. Elsie was born in Atlanta on July 6, 1927 to the late Forest and Blanche White. She attended Girls High School, was a wonderful hostess, cook, and avid gardener. She was a devout Christian and longtime member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Above all, she was a devoted, loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, the love of her life, Thomas “Tom” Howard; Son, Steve Howard and his wife Anne; Daughter, Pat Arnold and her husband Steve; grandchildren, Stephen, Scott, Emily (Sam), Chris (Kathleen),David, great-grandson, Myer; and brother, Michael White. Special thanks to Agape Hospice and her loving caretakers, Hyacinth and Cherryl. A funeral service will be held at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., with a graveside service to follow at Arlington Memorial park.
