

Ernest Lee Brown, age 86, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at his home after a long illness. He was surrounded by the Love and Care of his family. Born in 1938 in Seaside, Oregon, He was the beloved son of the late Vernon Sutter and Ethel Hayden Brown and Step-father Ralph Brown.
Ernie, or "Antique Man" as he was affectionately known as, was a shining Light in the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way he lived it and for the profound impact it had on the lives of all that knew and Loved him. He was a stranger to no one and a friend to all. He was devoted to his family and bragged about his wife's home cooking. He Loved animals and nature. He had a great sense of humor and Loved to tell stories. He was kind-hearted and would drive miles out of his way to feed stray and or homeless animals if he learned they were neglected or abused. His Hobbies were fishing and gardening.
Upon retirement from the military he became a hospital and nursing home inspector for the State of Georgia
and finally, his Great Love-owner of Papas Antiques and Professional Antiques Appraiser. He was well known in the Atlanta Metro area. His Antiques expertise, honesty and friendship were appreciated by his customers.
Mr. Brown attended Civilian Schools in Oregon and elsewhere as well as Military Schools. He was proud of his long Military Service and Served Overseas and Stateside. He entered the Military at a young age and moved up through the Ranks to become an E-8 Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman.
The last assignment he held in the Military was as Medical Administration Officer of the Navy Medical Clinic at Dobbins AFB.
Mr. Brown is survived by his Loving Wife of 68 years, June Trask Brown, Daughters Denise and Michelle Brown, Grandson Bryan Bage and wife Ashley, Sister in Oregon Patricia Nichols and Husband James, and Brother Vernon Brown and wife Tess of Oregon, as well as Nieces and Nephews.
Mr Brown was Buried with Military Honors at the Georgia National Cemetery.
