Eva Redd Rodum

Eva Rodum, 94, formerly of Cobb County, Georgia, passed peacefully in Pinole, California on June 27, 2025. Eva was the youngest of six children to Thad and Altha (Guffin) Redd. She graduated from Acworth High School. She worked at Lockheed for 10 years where she met Roland (Rolly) to who she was married for nealy 50 years.

Five years after the birth of their daughter, Karen, Eva returned to the workforce as a secretary at Gold Kist Inc. in the Engineering Department wher she was greatly valued for 23 years before retiring. She valued health and enjoyed walking with colleagues.

After the death of Rolly, she moved to California in the early 2016 to be near Karen and her husband, Fran.

There she enjoyed many happy years, traveling to beautiful places she'd always wanted to see, making new friends along the way.

Eva kept her cheerful, sweet personality until the very end. In additon to Karen and Fran, she is survived by Rolly's oldest daughter, Elyse (Joe) of Minnesota as well as several nieces, nephews and inlaws who loved her.

Heartfelt thanks go to the the wonderful caregivers at Absolute Care for Life and Home Now Hospice. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Assoication.

The family will recieve friends at H. M Patterson and Son Canton Hill Chapel on July 23rd from 6 pm until 8 pm and a funeral service at John Knox Presbyterian Church on July 24th at 10 am, followed by at burial at Georgia National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
