Frances Angeline Evans

Frances was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania on January 14, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Angelo Cercone and the late Camilla Mussari. Fran began her career at Dresser Manufacturing in 1954. When she moved to Georgia she held many roles at Rich’s Department Store. Fran then worked as the Office Manager for Dr. Geoffrey Posner for almost twenty years, developing a lifelong friendship. Recently, she worked with her husband at the East Cobb branch of H & R Block, as an Administrative Assistant.

Besides her beloved husband, Tom, Fran leaves her daughter, Shari Evans Wood, and her son and daughter in law, Todd and Samantha Evans. She also leaves behind her beloved and cherished grandson Jordan Wood and granddaughter, Kelsey Wood.

Fran was an incredible person and everyone who met her loved her kindness and joy. She made friends wherever she went. Her smile and laughter would light up a room. While she embraced her adopted home of Georgia, she never lost her love of her hometown Bradford, where she visited every year and leaves behind many dear friends and family, who lovingly refer to her as Frannie. She adored spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to travel and she was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. Fran was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church for 42 years. She found great joy in cooking and baking and simply spending time with her friends and family.

The funeral will be held at 11am on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3401 Lower Roswell Rd., Marietta, GA 30068.

The family will receive friends and family at 10am in the Hospitality Room.

A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the ceremony at Indian Hills Country Club.
