Mr. George Thomas Fulton, Sr. (George) passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at his home in Marietta. He was born on February 10, 1929, in Coalwood, West Virginia, the son of the late Homer and Hattie Fulton. A 1951 graduate of Georgia Tech and a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, Mr. Fulton enjoyed a successful 40-year management career in Program Coordination at Lockheed-Georgia and Lockheed-Sunnyvale, except for a brief period of service in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was also a long-time Georgia high school football official.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Leo, with whom he shared a love of travel and boating. He is survived by his son, George Thomas “Tom” Fulton, Jr. (Sarah) of Waynesville, NC; and his daughter, Fay Ames Fulton (Peter Bechtel) of Atlanta.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by H.M. Patterson & Son—Canton Hill Chapel in Marietta, with services to be held on Friday, June 20th, at 11:00 a.m. A small reception will follow catered by The Varsity. Interment will be private at Hatcher Cemetery in Freeport, Florida.
