Mrs. Grace O. Ray, 102, of Marietta, GA passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on October 28, 2013. She was born in Epworth, GA to the late John and Mary Owenby. Grace lived a wonderful life, always staying very involved in church and she was a devoted mother. She had many hobbies, but some of her favorites were gardening, crocheting and reading, and especially her love for her Bible and God’s Word. Grace’s love for life always shined through during the holidays, making sure each one was special for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Frank H. Ray and son, Winston Lamar Ray. She is survived by her son, Frank Q. Ray (Judy), daughter, Denise L. Faulkner (John), grandchildren, Patrick Ray, Shane Faulkner and Tara Faulkner, and great-grandchildren, Patricia Ray, Sean Ray, Raelin Faulkner and Collins Faulkner. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 1:00pm at Marietta Alliance Church, 1787 E Piedmont Rd, Marietta, GA 30062. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00pm at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill, Marietta, GA.
