Jack Eugene Gilbreath, age 80, of Smyrna, passed away December 22, 2011. Jack has been a member of Tillman Memorial Methodist Church since 1954 and served as Scoutmaster of the local Boy Scouts Troop in 1957. He served as past president of Smyrna Jaycees, Belmont Hills PTA, and Nash PTA. He was a basketball coach for Smyrna Athletic Association, and he refereed basketball and football for regional high schools and recreation leagues.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Reba N. Gilbreath, of Smyrna; sons, David Eugene Gilbreath, of Cloudcroft, NM, Anthony Mark gilbreath, of Viola, TN; daughter, Dawn Gilbreath Scott, of Marietta; son, Daniel Keith Gilbreath, of Canton; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 in Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Mark Larocco Pitts officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Crossroads Hospice 1957 Lakeside Pkwy # 500 Tucker, GA 30084-5859.
