Mr. James Thomas Douglass, Sr. 89 of Marietta died Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Mr. Douglass was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Tuskegee Airmen. He is survived by his wife, Alejandrina Douglass; son, James T. Douglass, Jr. of Marietta; daughter Alexandrina Douglass Robinson and her husband, Roy B. Robinson III of Atlanta, GA; brother, Bobby Douglass of Mt. Vernon, NY; sister, Annie Mae Warren of Detroit, MI. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral mass will take place on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta, with burial to follow in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at 2:00 p.m. with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Food for the pantry of St. Vincent De Paul Society, Transfiguration Catholic Church.
