Jean Moise
November 11, 1935 – September 3, 2025
On September 3, 2025, our beloved husband, father, and friend, Jean Moise, passed peacefully at the age of 89. His life was one of strength, faith, and love, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Jean was born on November 11, 1935, in Haiti. From an early age, he followed in the footsteps of his father, assisting him in the family’s medical clinic. These early experiences taught Jean discipline, compassion, and the importance of hard work. Throughout his life, he embraced many roles, such as: serving honorably in the Haitian military, working as a skilled watch repairman, and shaping young minds as a schoolteacher.
In 1990, Jean’s life took a beautiful new chapter when he married Anne Moise, the love of his life. That same year, they immigrated to the United States, settling first in Manhattan, New York, where Jean worked as a boat repairman. In 1996, he and Anne were blessed with their son, Marvin Moise, who brought immense joy and purpose to his life.
In 1999, the family moved to Marietta, Georgia, where Jean found steady work as a welder and machinist. He poured his creativity into building and inventing, finding joy in working with his hands and creating unique pieces with metal. Jean was a man who loved to create, not only with his craft but also in the bonds he formed with his family and community.
Jean’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. In 2002, he overcame prostate cancer, a victory he attributed to God’s grace and strength. Around this time, he became an active member of Open Bible Haitian Tabernacle, where he attended faithfully and joyfully lifted his voice in the men’s choir. His church community was a second family to him, and his faith guided him through every season of life.
At home, Jean was a devoted husband and father. He delighted in spending time with his family, whether it was watching movies together, sharing meals, or enjoying one of his favorite pastimes… watching wrestling. He was known for his gentle humor, hardworking nature, and the love he showed so generously to those around him.
Jean leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and resilience. He is survived by his loving wife, Anne Moise; his sons, Marvin Moise, Akable Blanc, and Brain Moise; along with extended family, church members, and countless friends who were blessed to know him.
Though Jean is no longer with us in body, his spirit remains with us in the lessons he taught, the example he set, and the love he gave so freely. His life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and family, and his memory will forever inspire those who follow in his footsteps.
