Jeffrey E. Tarr

Jeffrey E. Tarr, age 69, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on September 24, 2018. He was born in 1949 to Milton F. & Marguerite Tarr. He graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Jeff served in the United States Air Force, stationed at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas, and was a pilot for Piedmont Airlines, US Airways, and retired from American Airlines. Jeff was hired by Piedmont Airlines on June 15, 1981 and was a proud member of the Piedmont Silver Eagles. In his spare time, he enjoyed home improvement projects, building things, gardening and traveling. Jeff was dearly loved by Kim Schools, his wife of 36 years. His death is mourned by his brother, Richard H. (Rosalie) Tarr, of Florida, & their daughters, Keith (Debbie) Schools, of Maryland, Justin (McCall) Schools, of South Carolina; and many cousins and their families from all over the country. Also, mourning his death are his wonderful neighbors and special acquaintances from the Air Force, Piedmont Airlines, US Airways, and American Airlines.

The family will receive guests for visitation between the hours of 5:00pm and 8:00pm on Friday, September 28, 2018 in the Chapel of H.M. Patterson & Son – Canton Hill Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at H.M. Patterson & Son – Canton Hill Chapel. Mr. Tarr will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment with military honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida, on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 2:00pm.
