Mrs. Joanne Crowe Brunson

Joanne Crowe Brunson, age 72, of Smyrna, GA, died of breast cancer Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home. Joanne resided at Smyrna Towers for several years and had a brief stay at Tranquility Hospice.

Joanne worshipped the Lord Jesus Christ at Locust Grove Baptist Church, and in her later years at Sharon Baptist Church in Smyrna, GA. Joanne was a loving, kind, quiet, caring and generous Christian influence all her life, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Joanne was the older sister of deceased Jane Suissa who also died of breast cancer. Joanne was the oldest of three daughters of deceased Eva Jo and Vernon Crowe of Pickens County, GA. She was the wife of deceased William Eugene Brunson, of Colquitt, GA.

Joanne is survived by her youngest sister, Jeanne Grace (husband, Harold) Curtis, of Douglasville, GA; nephew, Eric (wife, Angela) Curtiss and their children, Jessica and Charles, all of Jonesboro; a niece, Terri (husband, Stephen) Luczynski; and their three children, Hope, Stephen, and Matthew of Mount Holly, NC; aunts, Ann Cagle, of Waleska, and Marguerite Cagle Gibson, of Tate; a brother-in-law, Daniel Suissa of Canton, GA.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 11 in Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, GA. the family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, 2:00 - 3:00 at the funeral home, prior to the service.
