John William Stephens Jr., age 70, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. John was born September 21, 1951 to the late John and Myrtle Stephens. He graduated from University of Louisiana, Lafayette and Kennesaw State with a degree in teaching. He retired in 2006. In his spare time he enjoyed being involved in any activities their son Matt was in (marching band, baseball, fencing, etc) Even after Matt's graduation from high school, John stayed involved with fencing and even coached at several high schools.
In addition to his parents, John is also preceded in death by a brother, Bob Stephens.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann, son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Taylor Stephens; granddaughter, Madi.
A visitation for John will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son-Canton Hill Chapel, 1157 Old Canton Road Ne, Marietta, GA 30068, followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00 PM.
