Mr. Louis Caldwell Jr.

Louis Caldwell passed from this life to Glory with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the age of 58. He was born to the late Louis Townsend and Johnnie Mae Caldwell on August 6, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the fifth (only son) of six siblings: Jacqueline Green, Debra Beck, Yvonne Baker, Yolonda Williams & Alice Brown.

Louis spent most of his life in Chicago. During his adolescent years he moved with his family to Jacksonville, Florida where he attended Ribault Highschool. While attending Ribault High, Louis participated in the ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) program. After high school Louis returned to Chicago. At eighteen, he married Michelle Wolf, a union that later dissolved. While working for DP Enterprise, the company relocated Louis to Atlanta, Georgia in 1989. After the company closed, Louis ventured into entrepreneurship. He began a small lawn care business called Quality Maintenance, that expanded to an all-home maintenance and remodeling service.

In 1991 Louis met the love of his life, Andrea Yvette Waldon. They were married October 23, 1993. From this union Louis gained two bonus children – Taj X. Waldon and Paris N. Waldon. Later another son was birthed, Louis Avery Caldwell.

In 1995, Louis was employed by MCI as a financial analyst, after the reorganization of the company, he decided to become a fulltime entrepreneur and expanded his Quality Maintenance business. Through his business, Louis was a blessing to his community, his church and family. His labor was quality, affordable and sometime free for those in need. He was known and loved in the community as a respectable, hardworking, dependable, man of integrity who could fix almost ANYTHING.

Family was always a big part of Louis’ life and family was always his first priority. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and servant leader. He managed to balance family, work and ministry throughout his life in a complimentary way.

He was lifelong member of the Christian faith, a born-again believer and served for many years in ministry. Louis was pastored/mentored by Elder Mitchell (Chicago, Ill); Apostle Richard D. Henton (Monument of Faith-Chicago, Ill) and Pastor Leonard A. Wolf (Monument of Faith- Atlanta, Ga). Louis served faithfully at Powerhouse of Deliverance Cathedral, Bishop M.J. Pace; Fellowship of Prayer Int’l., Dr. Richard Goode; and Life Enrichment Ministries, Dr. Liza R. Hickman. In 2004 He was elevated to Chief Elder of Life Enrichment Ministries where he served in that capacity until his health declined. Wherever Louis worshipped he was found serving: Sound Tech, Pastoral Care, Youth Leader, Facilities Management, Men’s Ministry President, Minister’s Council, Trustee, Preacher & Teacher of the Gospel, Associate Minster and Assistant Pastor. In every capacity of ministry Louis left a legacy of excellence, servant leadership and sacrifice as a standard for others to follow.

He always had a heart and a passion for ministry, especially a ministry to men. In 2000, Louis followed the unction of the Holy Spirit to start a city-wide men’s ministry that would provide support, guidance, and mentorship for men. MVIP, Men of Valor, Integrity & Purpose was birthed. MVIP did tremendous work throughout metropolitan Atlanta. Its impact continues to shape men’s lives today.

Louis Caldwell is preceded in death by his two siblings: Yolonda Williams and Yvonne Baker. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his beloved and dedicated wife of 27 years, Andrea Caldwell; 3 children: Taj Xavier Waldon (Tikia), Paris Noelle Waldon and Louis Avery Caldwell; 2 grandchildren: Austin Cash Waldon and Alena Cielle Waldon; 3 Sisters: Jacqueline Green, Debra Beck (Robert) and Alice Brown (Curtis); Spiritual Brothers: Solomon Colvin III, Ronnie Jefferson (Tresa), Danny Manns, and Warren Kennebrew (Sandra); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and many friends and loved ones.
