I am so sorry to learn of Lynn's passing. My condolences to the family and close friends.  She was a wonderful person who will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Lynn.  I did not know of her passing until I ran into you in Publix today.  I recently lost my mom to cancer so I know so well the pain  you and your family are feeling.  May God hold you in the palm of his hand during this difficult time.  I remember Lynn well from our days at Casa Montessori, she was a beautiful, smart, giving woman and know she will be missed by many.

My Big Sister, Lynn

Growing up, when people would ask me about my family and I would explain that I was the middle child, they would give me a sympathetic, all knowing, pat or sigh, indicating how they felt bad for me being the middle child.  But secretly, I loved being the middle child.  My two sisters were like my bookends, supporting me from both sides.  I had my younger sister on one side of me and my older sister on my other side.  And I was the single book standing up straight and proud due to the help of my two bookends.
But also, having an older sister was like having a bonus Mom.  I have a wonderful Mom but it was nice to have another person look out for me who was closer to my age and had just recently experienced whatever milestone I was about to embark on. Lynn was always there for me, helping me navigate through life.  When I was about to enter Junior High School, I was very nervous.  I didn’t know what to expect.  I heard all sorts of scary stories.  The classes would be so hard, you had to travel from class to class, you would have many different teachers and you would have a locker with a combination lock that you would have to figure out how to open.  My classmates assured me that Jr. High would be a nightmare.  So I asked my sister about it. And she patiently answered all my questions and assured me that she had made it through and that I also would make it through.  Then came High School, “Lynn, what’s High School like?” “What it like to kiss a boy?” “What’s College like?”  Each time, through every stage of my life, my sister was there for me, supporting me, answering my questions and helping me plow on through.  “Lynn, what’s it like to fall in love?” “What’s it like to be married?” “To be pregnant?” “To have a baby?”  And again, Lynn was always there for me.  Would listen to my concerns and help me through my uncertainties and insecurities.  Helping me through, with patience, understanding, truth and love.
Lynn was also my role model.  She taught be how to be organized, how to multi-task, how to cook.  She would always share with me any recipes I requested and would give me great cooking tips.  And Lynn was my confidant.  We would share our secrets, dreams and private thoughts.  
I truly feel blessed having been given such a great sister.  Lynn, I love you.  You were a wonderful big sister.  And I hope that in heaven you are given your own big sister to help you on your way in the World to Come.

Pete, my thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you, Lisa and Lauren comfort in the days and years ahead. Thinking of you all at this very difficult and sad time.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Lynn was a woman of many talents and a very caring person as well.  She will be greatly missed.
