

Michael was a gifted athlete. After excelling in numerous sports, he focused on Tennis and became ranked on the state, southern and national levels. He went to Saint Francis High School and attended Tusculum College in Greenville, Tennessee on a tennis scholarship. He was chosen for the All-Conference Team as a freshman. In addition to being a competitor, Michael was an outstanding tennis coach. He loved people and he had a sweet, sensitive, and kind nature that touched the lives of everyone who met him.
Michael is survived by his parents, Michael and JoAnn Hallford, of Marietta; sister Lauren Holliday, her husband, Hamilton, and their daughter Anna Gray, of Huntsville, AL; grandparents, Joe and Ann Knowles, of Rutledge, GA and E.G. and Janet Hallford, of Sharpsburg, GA; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother, Merle Hallford.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be conducted at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, 955 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, GA 30068, on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11:00A.M.
