

Nancy retired from AT&T with 25 years of service as an Assistant Manager in Group Operation Services. She had a variety of hobbies, music being her first love. She was an active member at her church where she sang in the choir. She played organ with the Lowery Organ Group of Atlanta since 2002. She also performed with the Melody Makers Choir where she did sign language along to the music. She was also 1 of 4 female international powerlifting referees. At the age of 65 she set a USPF GA record for bench pressing 90 lbs. at a masters bench press female tournament in Griffin, GA. She also loved motorcycles and was an avid rider. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her father Grady Traylor, mother Pauline Traylor Lane and brother Jim Traylor.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Benjamin Parker; her daughters Denise Marlin and Elaine (Dan) Cain; her son Paul (Peggy) Parker; and her sister Margie (Coleman) Murdock. She has 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and lots of nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 14 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held at East Cobb United Methodist Church on Friday, June 15 at 11:00 AM with remains to lie in state at 10:00 AM.
