Mr. Peter I. Barber, age 75, of Marietta, passed away October 19, 2012. Mr. Barber was a native of Brookline, MA, and a graduate of Dartmouth College. He lived in Georgia the last 40 years, and was an entrepreneur and owner of many textile businesses across the northern region of the state. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel.
He is survived by his son, Stephen (wife, Suzie) Barber, and grandsons, Henry and William Barber, all of Houston, TX; a sister, Penny Lawing, of Atlanta; and Shipley Petty, Marietta.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 4:00 PM in H. M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill Chapel. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home following the service.
