Mr. Dam was a very easy going man who loved to travel, especially on cruises, and making people laugh. His spare time was spent playing tennis with his ALTA team and cooking all types of cuisine. He enjoyed photography and computers, but most of all he loved his family especially his grandchildren. He served in the South Vietnamese Army (MAC-V-COG) as a Green Beret attaining the rank of Second Lieutenant.
He was preceded in death by a son, Phuc Quang Dam.
Survived by his wife of 40 years, Vo Thi Dam; children, Peter and Pam Dam, Linda and Tony Nguyen; brothers, Phu Quang Dam and family, Cu Quang Dam and family; sisters, Lan Thi Dam and family, Hanh Thi Luong and family, Hang Thi Luong and family, Nga Thi Luong and family, Ngan Thi Luong and family, Trinh Hue Luong and family; brother-in-law, Ngoc Van Le and family.
Buddhist funeral services will be held Sunday July 3 at 1 PM in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 4 until 8 PM Friday July 1 and then again from 1 until 5 PM Saturday July 2 at the funeral home.
