I sincerely apologize for not being able to attend. Please accept my heartfelt condolences to the immediate and extended family. It comes as no surprise to me the remarkable legacy he has created and the many lives he has impacted. As children, I was fortunate to be his next-door neighbor, and we shared a mutual love for comic books and movies. Nicole, Richard Jr, Naomi, and the entire Linton family,

I was heartbroken to hear of Richard’s passing, and I want to extend my deepest condolences to you all during this challenging time. Though many years have passed since our days at St. George’s College, Richard has always remained in the hearts and conversations of those of us who were lucky enough to call him a friend.

Richard was a true brother-in-arms during our school years. We shared a love for soccer, especially the English Premier League as most of us do from that class, and I can still picture the passion and energy he always brought. Although life took different paths, whenever classmates gathered, Richard’s name would always come up, and we would remember his humor, his kindness, and the pride he had for his roots.

Reading about his life, his accomplishments, and the deep love he had for his family only reaffirms what we always knew, Richard was an exceptional person. It is clear that he lived a life full of love, passion, and purpose.

Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. May you all find comfort in the cherished memories you shared, in the love of family and friends.

Know that Richard’s spirit will always be with you.

I met Richard while working at D&G (now Red Stripe) in Jamaica. We worked together in the Main Lab, and Richard quickly distinguished himself as a very astute technician where he had his efficiency dialed in. When everyone else was busy working, he would be relaxing as his work was done. He further distinguished himself with his computer skills…I learned lots from him. He was always jovial, friendly and showed flashes of his dancing skills. In fact I recall when he was dancing in the lab to some music on our ‘boom box’ and the QA manager walked in. Richie was oblivious to his presence and quickly stopped when he realized he was being observed. The manager, Colin, later asked me ‘Has Mr Linton gotten over his current affliction?’, Richard cracked up when he heard that. But he loved life and his spontaneous dancing at that moment was testament to that. So great was his impact among us lab techs that he was noticeably missed when he left to go to the US to study. I lost contact with him. His closer friends Stephen Lloyd and Steve Foo and I were talking about him, and his antics when I visited Jamaica in November 2024 and was hanging out with them just days before his passing. So it was shocking to hear of his untimely passing. To his family, I offer my sincerest condolences and pray that you would receive comfort and peace from God on high. May he rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences goes out to Richard's family.  I'm truly sorry to hear about the passing of my friend.  Richard and I were classmates and friends in high school.  He is an alumni of St. George's College graduating class of 1986.

We shared a passion and love for rap music in high school and college.  I remember visiting with him at Barry University in Miami. 
 We connected again when he moved back to Jamaica while working for D&G.

Even though we lost contact over the years, I still talk about the experiences we shared.  You will always be in my thoughts.  Rest in peace brother!

Richard was an integral part of our Atlanta community. He was sincere, kind, and welcoming to all. It was also obvious to us how much he loved his family.

He will be deeply missed, and we wish the family peace and healing during this difficult time.

I am sending love and healing to Richard's family. He was just a light in our office and a genuinely kind person. When I met his daughter at our Braves game outing for Salesforce I could see how much he loved and cared for his daughter. It was a beautiful bond and I hope she holds on to those loving memories through what I know will be a hard time. You will be missed Richard!

Though I hadn't spoken with Richard in many years, I always felt glad believeing he was out in the world  somewhere and enjoying his life, because he was fun, funny, kind and had a loving soul. I worked with Richard at Salesforce.  He was always a joy to work with and be around.

He was definitely one of my favorite people as he was a lot like me! I will surely miss him and his smile and wisdom.

Rich was my friend and even my boss for a little while. This photo is from strike training that he and myself and a couple of other designers took together. He is marveling at the cable we are gonna splice, and hamming it up, too. I loved working for him, he was a great boss and helped me do cool things like a weekly video series during the busy summer season. As a friend, he was wonderful, full of laughs and good times and always a smile. We could commiserate on the less than exciting drive up 75 to Ohio, talk marvel movies and LEGO, and just laugh and have fun.

My condolences to Richard's entire family.
Richard and I became friends in 1994 when I started working at Desnoes & Geddes (now Red Stripe). We worked together in the Main Lab. We became very good friends in a short time. There was a group of us that worked together in the Main Lab that formed a bond, we were like brothers. So much so that when Steve Foo a member of the "Main Lab Crew" was getting married 3 of us were his groomsmen, with the only "outsider" amongst us being Steve's best friend from high school who was the best man.
Amongst the Crew Richard and I were closest, we partied together so we spent a lot time together. I have a lot of fond memories with my friend and though we drifted apart after he got maried and migrated. We still had the sporadic phone call where we would talk and reminisce. The last such call was around a year ago I believe, neither of us was good at the keeping in touch thing, but for some reason out of the blue one or the other would suddenly feel the need to reach out, and a call would be made. These calls would range in length from 5 minutes to almost 2 hours🙂. Sometimes years would elapse between calls, but all that mattered to us was that we kept the link.
I miss my friend and I pray that his soul will Rest In Eternal Peace.

Indeed to God we all belong, and indeed to Him we will all return. 

I had the honor of working with Rich on a couple of projects at AT&T. He was a man of sincerity, kindness, and benevolence. He had a captivating voice, unforgettable laugh, and was loved by all at work. I will always treasure the memory of having lunch with him at Panera one weekend. 

Rest in peace my brother. Praying we will see you again in the beautiful company of the prophets, believers, and righteous. Amen 🤲

My deepest condolences to the Linton family.  Rich helped to create the fond memories I have of working at AT&T.  It was a pleasure to be a part of Team Linton.

I worked with Rich at AT&T. I didn't know him well . . . was never on his team, but I knew him just around the office. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers are for his family and friends that they find comfort in the memories, knowing that he lived a good life. His assignment is complete. May he rest in peace.
