Mr. Robert Van Higgins, 69, of Rockmart, Georgia, died Sunday, December 11th, 2016. Robert was retired and had worked for Southeastern Freight. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, who loved the outdoors any chance he could get. He is preceded in death by his son, Steven Higgins. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Patricia (Pat) Higgins; sons & daughter in laws, Jody & Kristy Higgins and Sean & Brittany Higgins; 9 grandchildren; sister, Linda Matsis, of Woodland Hills, California. A memorial service and placement of his ashes will be at a later date.
