Roger "Hank" Dale Finger

*Roger Dale (Hank) Finger was born on Saturday, July 18, 1953, in Barberton, Ohio. His parents were Paul Crimson Finger and Martha Elizabeth McCarver Finger. The family moved to Georgia in 1963. He passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025.

*Roger is preceded in death by his father, Paul Crimson Finger, his mother, Martha Elizabeth McCarver Finger, his sister, Helen Elizabeth McCulley, and his brother, Hugh Keith Owens. His mother-in-law Cleo Carney, his sister and brother-in-law Marie and George Eberenz, his brother and sister-in-law Donald and Jane Carney, his brother-in-law John Hortman.

*One of Roger’s first jobs was at Stuckey*s on Mars Hill Road and 41. He attended North Cobb High School and graduated in 1971. He attended Chattahoochee Technical College on South Cobb Drive in Smyrna and became a Welder. He worked as a Welder for several years. Then in 1979 he was hired at Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Ga. as a Welder. He worked up thru the ranks and became a Tool design Engineer. He retired from Lockheed in 2017 after 38 years of service.

*Roger loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He taught Sunday School, taught Children*s Church at Green Acres Baptist Church in Smyrna, Ga. At our home church, Northside Baptist Church in Dallas, Ga, he was in the puppet ministry, sang in the choir, and served in the sound room. He also loved playing the guitar, gardening, smoking cigars, and playing cards with the family.

*Roger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Carolanne Finger, of Dallas, Ga. His daughter, Shirley Finger of Dallas, Ga. His son, Howard (Emma) Finger, of Hiram, Ga. His daughter, Rebecca Finger, of Austell, Ga., and his daughter, Shavone (Chris) Anderson of Cartersville, Ga, his sister-in-law Glynnis (Ted) Reece of Anthony, Fl, and sister-in-law Ginny (Ed) Simmons of Brunswick, Ga.

*Roger is survived by his brother, Rance (Buddy) Owens of Wadsworth, Ohio. His sister-in-law Sandra Owens of Dallas, Ga, His sister, Gale (Bennie) Fretwell, of Acworth, Ga. His brother, Donald (Denia) Finger of Acworth, Ga. His brother Ronald Finger of Acworth, Ga, and his brother Anthony (Lee) Finger of Sparta, NC.

*Roger is survived by several grandchildren: Richard (Brittany) LeFever of Rome, Ga.; Jonathan (Rachel) Bruno of Kennesaw, Ga.; Christian (Zoe) Finger of New Georgia, Ga.; Tyler Warren of Dallas, Ga.; Nicholas Bruno of Columbus, Ohio; Jeremiah Duquette of Cartersville, Ga.; and Ethan Duquette of Cartersville, Ga., and Makayla Cortez of Hiram, Ga. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
