Sue Ann Tarter

Sue Ann Tarter, age 84, of Marietta, GA, passed away on August 23, 2024. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 19, 1940 to Lucille Beirbaum and Charles Marion Wheeler. She was married to her beloved Edward Everett Tarter on August 15, 1958.

She graduated from Southern High School in Louisville, Kentucky. She was employed by Ehrler's Dairy, JCPenny, BIC and Jefferson Pilot. Sue enjoyed working and put much effort everything she did. Always being very dedicated, Sue always found a job in wherever her family relocated and was thriving in every new position in no time.

She also, loved her family and was very committed to them. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and exceptional gran. In her spare time, Sue was an avid tennis player. In her retired years, she played on multiple tennis teams and was always willing to go out and play. Being a planner and an organizer extraordinaire, she enjoyed traveling as well.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Charles Wheeler and brother, Mark Lewis Wheeler.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Tarter of Marietta; son, Stephen (Joyce) Tarter of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Debbie Galloway (Scott) of Marietta; sisters, Judy Montgomery (Ken) of Peachtree City, Mary Miller (Steve) of Louisville, Kentucky; brother, Gregg Wheeler (Jennifer) of Estero, Florida; grandchildren, Emily Ann Galloway (Ty Hornbuckle), and Will Galloway (Kate).
