Very sorry to hear of my old friend passing. Mark was a great guy that will be missed by all who knew him. Mark was a few years older than me and I always looked up to him growing up. He taught me how to ride a dirt bike and we rode during the summer in the woods behind Walton High school where we lived next to each other. Mark may you Rest in Peace.

The Members of Cobb County Firehouse 19 who worked alongside Mark for 10 years will miss his visits to the Firehouse. He was a great guy and a great Officer. Rest Easy Mark, we will miss you buddy.

We want those who knew and loved Mark, especially his parents and daughter, to know how deeply others cared for the person we knew Mark to be. My wife and I are currently out of the country and will not be back in time to be with his friends and family to share our memories about the special person he was to so many. We may not be there in person, but our thoughts and hearts will be. Many nice things can be said about Mark that most who read this already know. We will always remember him as a kind person who cared about others and could be counted on if you needed help.

Heaven has a special angel now!  Mark will be missed. I could never thank him enough for everything he did for our family, and my daughter.  I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to know and love that family.  Alexcia has always been my other daughter growing up.  We loved her like our own. Thinking of Mark today made me smile.  The 2 car accidents I was involved in ( my fault) around our neighborhood, Mark shows up off duty.  It blew me away how he was always there.  He was like the neighborhood guardian angel.  The time I got pulled over on the way to work in Atlanta, it was Mark who pulled me over.  He walks up to the car and looked stunned, then told me that I better be glad it was him, and not someone else.  I had crossed a double line to get to the interstate exit. He was a great man, well respected, and admired.  I have to laugh thinking about all the women on the street would walk outside when Mark was mowing the lawn with his shirt off.LOL!  So many memories! There was never any doubt who his number 1 girl was, his daughter Alexcia. Mark was a great father and a wonderful friend.  He will be missed!  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time!
