Brenda Johnson Greer

On Sunday, September 11, 2011 Heaven received a new Angel, Ms. Brenda Johnson Greer, 64, of Marion. Born on May 16, 1947 in McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late Bessie Jane Vaughn O' Quinn and James Johnson. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Arlie O' Quinn. She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Byrd and her husband, Dale of Marion, Jennifer Swann and her husband, Jerry of Marion, Tina Dixon and her husband, Timothy of Middleboro, KY and Jessica Reel of Marion; grandchildren, Tiffany Swann, Christiopher Swann, Amanda Swann, Crystal Dixon, Dustin O' Quinn, Adam Byrd and Nick Byrd; three great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Johnson and his wife, Roxie of Marion; and sister, Linda Thompson and her husband, Vance of Marion.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Victory Temple Full Gospel Church with the Reverend Pete McCombs and the Reverend Rick Wood officiating. Burial will follow the service at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
