Bynum John McKelvey Jr.

Mr. Bynum John McKelvey, Jr., 71, of Ashland City, TN formerly of Marion passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at North Crest Medical Center in Springfield, TN. Mr. McKelvey was born March 4, 1944 in Asheville, NC to the late Bynum John McKelvey, Sr. and Adelaide Collins McKelvey. He was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church in Ashland, TN and a former member of West Marion Methodist Church. He loved fishing and hunting and proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Buddy McKelvey

He is survived by his wife Kathryn Copeland McKelvey of the home; four daughters, Sue Hopper (Michael) of Nashville, TN, Brenda Martin of Smithville, TN, Kathy Howard (Richard) of Lafayette, GA, Linda Arveaux (Rick) of Smithville, TN; a granddaughter, Whitney Bethel (Ben) of Honolulu, HI; and special friends, Pat & Lanny Sartain of Newton, NC

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2015 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
