Cecil Denver Potter

Cecil Denver Potter, 80, of Marion, died on Friday, March 1, 2013 at The McDowell Hospital. Born on March 1, 1933 in Mountain City, TN, he was the son of the late Paul and Essie Woodard Potter.
Mr. Potter is survived by his wife of 44 years, Doris Creson Potter; son, Brian Potter of Greer, SC; sisters, Laura Hodge and Dorothy Abel, both of Mountain City, TN and Myrtle Icenhour and Madge Sexton, both of PA; brother, Paul W. Potter of Stokesdale, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the McCall Memorial Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion with the Reverend Dr. Jack B. Sammons officiating. Burial will follow the service at McDowell Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
