Daniel Monroe Bradford Jr.

He was born December 29, 1931 in McDowell County, NC to the late Daniel Monroe Bradford, Sr. and Carrie Leona Freeman Bradford.

Mr. Bradford was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Marion. He worked for Broyhill Furniture up until well past retirement, at the age of 71. He was a master wood craftsman and made beautiful furniture in his woodshop at home. Mr. Bradford was a very well respected man and he served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged and was awarded the United Nations Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal and 3 Bronze Stars.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Bradford.

Surviving Mr. Bradford are his wife of 61 years, Eunice Bradford of the home; four sons, Floyd (Trish) Bradford of Sanford, NC, Danny (Katelyn) Bradford of Raleigh, NC, Steven (Cheryl) Bradford of Keokee, VA and Matthew Bradford of Marion; a sister-n-law, June Bradford of Rutherfordton, NC; a brother, Stuart Bradford of Spindale, NC; 10 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Upton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors.
