Edna W. Harris

She was born March 24, 1931 in Swain County, NC to the late James Eli Bartlett and Nora Morgan Wagoner.

Mrs. Harris attended of Davistown Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Willard “Cap” Harris, a brother, Chuck Wagoner, and a sister, LenaMay Morgan.

Surviving are her three children; Sandra Haney, husband Sherman, of Old Fort, Neal Harris, wife Roselie, of Black Mountain, and Sherrill Harris, wife Tesia, of Morganton. Grandsons; Tim Haney, Stephen Haney, Matt Haney, Granddaughters; Jasmine Morris, Sonya Harris, Great-Grandchildren; Hunter Katelynn Haney, and Jake Morris. Aunt; Bessie Harris, of Old Fort, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5: 00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Kirksey Chapel in Old Fort. A Graveside service will be held Thursday June 14, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Davistown Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
