Eula Virginia Hardy

She was born June 10, 1924 in McDowell County, NC to the late Bam Hardy and Cynthia Rutherford Hardy. Ms. Hardy was a lifelong member of St. John’s A.M.E. Church.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by two sons, Charles Thomas Hardy and Ralph Leon Hardy; one daughter, Irene Hardy Wilkerson; and numerous siblings.

Surviving Ms. Hardy are five children, Tony Hardy, Billy Hardy, Linda Rutherford, Nora Hardy and Dorothy Carson; one sister, Alice Hale; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 18, 2013 at St. John A.M.E. Church with Pastor Debora Smith and Rev. Arell Rutherford, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
