Frances Marvese Turner Benge

Mrs. Benge was born on June 28, 1941 in McDowell County, NC to the late Willard and Hettie Turner.

Mrs. Benge adored children and loved working as a preschool teacher at McDowell Technological Community College. She was a member of Trinity Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Nebo and she loved her church family. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and one of her favorite pastimes was collecting family photos old and new. Her life’s greatest joy was her daughter, Deana and her church family.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dean Benge; a brother, J.W. Turner; and three sisters, Margaret Brown, Rosalea Cody, and Louise Hudson.

Surviving Mrs. Benge are her daughter, Deana Renee Benge of the home; a sister, Gail Turner of Old Fort, NC; two sister-n-laws, Judy Turner of Swannanoa, NC and Louise Ward of Nebo, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benge family, c/o of Kirksey Funeral Home, 69 N. Main St., Marion, NC 28752

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June, 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Hill Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Cope officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
