Inez Fortune

Mrs. Fortune was born May 20, 1923 in Burke County, NC to the late Don Franklin and Mullie Duckworth Franklin. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband; Lawrence Jackson Fortune, two brothers; Vernon Franklin and James Franklin, and sister; Eloise Fortune. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Surviving is a daughter; Janice Carson, of Union Mills, a brother; Doyle Franklin, of Morganton, two Grandsons; Stephen Carson, wife Jasmin, Stacey Carson, wife Mary, and a step-Grandson; John Kohler.

Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 2:30 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.
