Marvin Eugene McKesson

Mr. McKesson was born in McDowell County to the late Laura Mary Gray McKesson and the late Thomas Eugene McKesson.

Mr. McKesson was a graduate of Mountain View School. He was a hard worker and strong minded man. He retired from Baxter Healthcare and enjoyed watching old TV shows and basketball.

In addition to his mother and father, Mr. McKesson was preceded in death by his son Perry McKesson, brothers, James McKesson, Carl McKesson and sister Bessie McKesson Ferguson.

Surviving Mr. McKesson are his wife, Mary Catherine Corpening McKesson of Marion; son Marvin (Lititia) McKesson of Greenville, NC; brothers, George (Louise) McKesson of Greensboro, NC, William (Jerry) McKesson of Asheville, NC and John (Dottie) McKesson of Marion; sisters Dottie (Danny) Ervin of Marion; Evelyn McKesson of Baltimore, MD, Betty McKesson of Marion and Elsie McKesson of Charlotte, NC; and grandchildren, Karene Ingram, Kelly, James, Alicia, and Bianca McKesson.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 12:00 PM at Addies Chapel United Methodist Church in Marion. The family will receive friends at 11:30 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at McDowell Memorial Park.
