Mary V. Mahan

Mrs. Mahan was born August 20, 1922 in Wise County, VA to the late Walter Shepherd and Verdie Brewer Shepherd. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband; Henry Carson Mahan and two sons; Charles Mahan and David Mahan. She was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving is four sons; Jerry Mahan, wife Pat, Robert Mahan, Billy Mahan, Andy Mahan, wife Donna, three daughters; Wilma Smith, husband A.C., Thelma Pam Andrews, and Rita Allison, all of Marion, two brothers; Roy Shepherd, wife Mildred, of Bristol, TN, Walter “Bud” Shepherd, wife Loretta, of Marion, two sisters; Nadine Suttle, and Flo Johnson, both of Marion, and many Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Friday, September 16, 2011 at 4:00 PM at McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Stockton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
