

He was born on April 18, 1952 to the late Howard Phillips and Ramatha Dula. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers; Michael Phillips, Dennis Phillips, Greg Dula, Conley Dula and one sister Yvonne Correa. Mr. Dula was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Marion and a past member of Dulatown Presbyterian Church of Lenoir. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a avid storyteller.
Mr. Dula is survived by his wife, Sharon Kincaid Dula of the home, sons; Tony Dula of Phoenix, Ariz, Robert Biddle and wife Mandy of Marion, Brian Biddle of Marion, Christopher Biddle and wife Erica of Lenoir, Eric Biddle and wife Heather of Taylorsville, and Myron Biddle also of Marion. One daughter survives; Wanda Biddle of Greensboro, NC. A sister, Blondie Jones of Lenoir survives along with fifteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of other family, nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Dula will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Reverend Michael Smith, Reverend Jeff Conley and Reverend Elijah Freeman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be at the North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., with military honors provided.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the family. Kirksey Funeral Home of Marion has the honor of serving the family of Mr. Dula.
