Priscilla Stevens Laws

She was born June 16, 1919 in Mitchell County, NC to the late Wess Stevens and Elizabeth Briggs Stevens. Mrs. Laws was a member of Parkers Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and flowers. She will forever be remembered by those who knew her as a good woman who loved her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Laws; one daughter, Patricia Yelton, one son, Dean Laws and one great-grandson, Christian Alexander Cable.

Surviving Mrs. Laws are three sons, Donald Laws of Black Mountain, NC, Dennis Laws and wife, Loresa of Marion, NC and Lee Laws of Marion, NC; three daughters, Brenda Laws and husband, James of Marion, NC, Priscilla Cable of Glenwood, NC and Carolyn Loftis of Marion, NC; four sisters, Carrie Watkins of Marion, NC, Faye Watkins of Marion, NC, Juanita Waycaster of Marion, NC and Ruth Briggs of Bakersville, NC; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Gentry officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
