Richard Lee Jensen

Mr. Jensen was born July 14, 1928 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Ernest Clair Jensen and Pauline L. Hall Jensen. He proudly served his country and retired from the U.S. Air Force as Chief Master Sergeant. After his time in the military, he worked for United Air Lines until his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jensen is also preceded in death by his first wife, Joan M. Peterson Jensen; his son, James “Jimmy” Jensen; and an infant son, Richard Jensen.

Left behind to cherish Mr. Jensen’s memory are his beloved wife of 43 years Jean Lavender Jensen; two children, Danny Jensen and wife, Laura and Sallie Jensen; two step-children, Shawn Hall and Sharon Hall Adams; two brothers, Robert Jensen and wife, Pat and Darrell Jensen and wife, Cathy; three grandsons; one step-grandson; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Kirksey Funeral Chapel in Old Fort. A funeral service to celebrate Mr. Jensen’s life will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gary Lavender and Rev. Gary Lavender, II officiating. Burial will follow the service at Moffitt Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Shaw Air Force Base and Caldwell County Honor Guard.
