Mr. Ronnie Eugene Sears, 63, of Dobson, NC, passed away, Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at his residence. Born January 20, 1948, in McDowell County, he was a son of the late Irene Johnson Sears. Mr. Sears was a past member of the Zion A.M.E. Church, Marion. He was a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the US Army.
Mr. Sears is survived by a brother, Ray Noble Sears, Sr., of Winton, NC;
Also surviving are numerous extended family members and friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Sears will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 13, 2011, in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home, Marion, with the Reverend James Boyce officiating. Interment will follow at the McDowell Cemetery, Marion.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the Chapel.
