Ruby Irene Bradley

Mrs. Ruby Irene McKay Bradley, 84, of Marion, passed away, Saturday, October 4, 2014, while at her residence. Born October 11, 1929, in Chester, SC, she was the daughter of the late Edward McKay and Nicie J. Elliott McKay. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bradley was also preceded in death by her husband, David Bradley and a son, Stephen Bradley. Mrs., Bradley was an artist, having sculptured a bust of Daniel Boone displayed at the outdoor drama “Horn in the West”. She also was an accomplished painter and crafter. Mrs. Bradley enjoyed gardening.

Mrs. Bradley is survived by a son, Mark Bradley & wife, Jessica, of Hong Kong, China;

A daughter, Suzanne Hollifield, of Marion, NC;

Six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive her.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 P M, Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at the Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of McDowell County, 575 Airport Road, Marion, NC 28752.
