Ruby Kelley

Mrs. Kelley was born August 28, 1921 in McDowell County, NC to the late Myrtle Jane Arrowood.

She was a member of Victory Temple Full Gospel Church. Mrs. Kelley loved to read, grow flowers and play the harmonica and mandolin.

In addition to her mother, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Albert Guy Kelley and two sons, Leon and A. G. Kelley.

Surviving Mrs. Kelley are two sons, Robert Kelley and David Kelley, both of Dysartsville; four daughters, Jean Engle and husband Ron of Pennsylvania, Patsy McClellan and husband Jack of Marion, Kathryn Bailey and husband Jolley of Dysartsville, and Sue Smith and husband Aubrey of Dysartsville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2015 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion with the Revs. Walker Toney, Pete McCombs, and Roger Gallion officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Burke Co. NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
