Tammie Michelle Grindstaff

Tammie Michelle Grindstaff, 49, of Marion, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at her residence. Born on July 7, 1964 in Gaston County, NC, she was the daughter of Linnie “Judy” Gosnell Boyd and the late Glen Carl Boyd.

Tammie was a loving wife, mother and sister who was a very giving person who always took care of all those in her life. She worked for New Horizon Home Health Care for five years and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Tammie was preceded in death by her father, Glen Carl Boyd. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Randy Grindstaff; daughter, Rebecca Linn Grindstaff of Marion; mother, Linnie “Judy” Gosnell Boyd of Lincolnton; sister, Tonya Boyd Tipton of Marion; niece, Briana Naomi Tipton and nephew, Austin Glen Tipton, both of Marion; sister-in-law, Bobbie Laws and her husband, Eddie of Marion; brother, Jerry Stevens; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friend, Mark Campbell of Marion.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints, 2230 Airport Rd., Marion. Burial will follow the service at the Hollifield Cemetery in Marion.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, November 1, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion.
