Van Harold Smith

He was born March 8, 1940 in McDowell County, NC to the late Clarence Smith and Virginia Wiseman Smith. Mr. Smith loved motorcycles, coon hunting and the outdoors.

Surviving Mr. Smith are his wife, Lucille Lowery Byrd Smith of Marion, NC and five siblings and their families, Eddie Smith and wife, Annette, C.W. Smith and wife, Jennie, Charlotte Wright and husband, Frank, Linda Stevens and husband, John and Frances James and husband, Roger all of Marion.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC with Rev. Mark Lawing and Rev. Ronnie Gentry officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church Cemtery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
