Willie Mae Smith Morgan

She was born May 18, 1930 in McDowell County, NC to the late Fate Smith and Bessie Pope Smith.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grayson Morgan; one brother, George Smith; and an infant sister.

Surviving are three sons, Dennis Henry Morgan of the home, Danny Lee Morgan and wife, Rose of Marion, NC and L. Wayne Morgan of Black Mountain, NC; one brother, James Smith of Marion, NC; four sisters, Maggie Smith of Old Fort, NC and Marie Williams, Eunice Shew and Ruth Elliott all of Marion, NC; two grandchildren, Robert Morgan and Shelby Hensley; one great-granddaughter, Lola Hensley; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 12, 2010 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home, Marion with Rev. Jimmy Upton officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the funeral home.
