Aran L. Overholt

Aran L. Overholt, 49, of Muscatine, Iowa and formerly of Markle, Indiana passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020. Aran was a veteran of many conflicts and war over a 20 year period where he earned numerous medals and accommodations. He grew up in Markle, Indiana and Germantown Hill, Illinois. As a child he learned his work ethic and compassion from his father and grandfather, Glen Overholt. He learned carpentry from his father and loved working with his hands. His first separation from the military he retrained in civilian life into an exemplary mechanic, proving to be a valuable asset to the McCoy Group. Traveling the entire United States, he ensured the proper logistics and protocols of the company to be in place and adhered to. He was truly a vast wealth of knowledge. Aran was born on May 27, 1971 in Tustin, California, the son of Wilbur and Shawn (St. John Furgeson) Overholt. Survivors include two sons: Dustin and Dakota; two sisters: Beth and Annette and a granddaughter: Lilly. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana. Funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2:00 pm. We will be following the CDC’s guidelines for Social Distancing and Social Gathering Limits. Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
